This is a 100% truthful story. This was told to me by our newest members, Adam.


Story goes Adam got this nice ass 88 RX7 its has header, full exhuast setup, and a nice sized street port. He also got a spare engine with the car..all for 1800...

So one day Adam is having some problems with his car. it is stalling out @ idle but only with the air on. So Adam takes the car to Mazsport. Scott comes out, pulls one of the sparkplugs, and says this isn't a streetport!!!!!!!!

He also said Adam needed a rebuilt, and that his spare engine is better than the ported one in his car...

Now I have fixed this car and no longer stalls out " Damn TPS"..So my question to all the rotor heads is

How in the fuck can you tell a engine is ported with your finger in the sparkplug hole?

Scott told him the engine was shot..it runs great now, I can't imagine how good that spare engine is, if his ported one is bad.

So watch out @ Mazsport..He was going to charge Adam $4000 for something that took me 5 minutes to correct...

Dude I have all those bolts, you could have them for free.

I also have 3 starters.......There is no differnce between starters.

soo...if you can say a motor isnt ported via spark plugs... i couldjust as easily say it IS...

hmmm...

lol... that is seriously Fuckerd up... i dont even know what i would say to him if he did that to me... theres no real way to find out besides listening to the idle or opening up the motar.... is there?

 

You are correct there is 2 ways to tell, if a engine is ported.

One is by hearing it run.

The second is a disassemble.

more specific the one plug that plugs into the ecu on the left side and the plug that runs from the ecu to the engine harness? if so IM me at kidnaap or fcdrifter0502

u know what i was just thinkin.... lol my bro went up to maztech to get some tranny bolts b/c he lost his too lol he gave the bolts to him for free..... hehe and its kloser to ur house... ouch! that blows but ohh well
