muffler inlet size?

Default muffler inlet size?
i have 2.5 in piping... would a 3in inlet sized muff be good or stay with 2.5?

2.5" is what I'd do NA. 2.5" piping is the max you'd want for an NA, and theres no reason to pay more for a muffler with a 3" inlet.
