Default miata/rotary

well soon i think i may be saving up some cash... so i was wondering how hard mounts are to make for the 13b swap into a miata? are the mounts the same and its just a drop in? well im looking to get big power into this miata so how much power will the rear end handle? well just a few preliminary questions

I know Racing Beat did an S5 T2 swap into a miata . The mounts aren't that hard it would be about making th tranny fit well .

If it was me I would just go haltech on it anyway .

So lets say 275 or so RWHP in a Miata That sounds about right with bolt ons . With a TO4R or an equivalent should be good for 400RWHP easy .

Miata's are Auto-X/Drift cars though it needs under 300RWHP and a somewhat useable powerband or that bish will just light the tires .

What's the point? The stock bottom end of the stock miata block will handle upwards of 350 rwhp...

Thumbs down for wasting money.

Reason , rotaries are cool .

Not everyone cares if this is good for that or blah blah . Sometimes just being different is enough reason for someone to do something .

Kinda like the 1MZ-FE in the SW20 . IMO it's freaking gay but to the others it's really cool and wahtever .

Kennady engineering makes plates so you can bolt the 13BT up to the miata trans. get some motor mounts made up.. those are easy to built. and get a haltech and see ya later

I think its spelled Kennady Engineering.com.. but the spelling may be off... but they make nothing but plate for swapping engines to odd trans and shit, they also will make you custom plates for about $500...they will also tell you what flywheel and counter weights you will need..

If you know another way to get 300 ft-lbs at 2500 rpm in a SW20, lemme know. I could save myself and Randy a BUNCH of money building Street Modified 2 SW20's for National Competition.

*shrug*
