6 to 8 people is enough to eat a package of hot dogs!

My experience at meets is that usually a bunch of people show up that never
signed up.... LOL People drive in and out...... LOL people arrive late.....

Dr Morty's meet had only a few people when I rolled up...but an hour later it
was a different story! People parked on the grass. I ate 3 hot dogs, beans and
chili, before I left a few hours later.......for another meet. That was a great day.
Dr Morty always holds a good meet. Good people show up.

At Jtezza's meet awhile back,
the meet and the DJ was still going by the time it was supposed to have
ended.......LOL some people had taken off early......and people were still rolling in AFTER
the time the meet was supposed to have ended.....and taking the spaces that were
emptied by those that left early !

I know what you mean by several meets on the same weekend. I'm the guy that can hit
at least three on the same day........Tarpon Springs in the morning, Dade City in the
afternoon for the race car reunion and Plant City that night.

Last November you could hit a Friday night meet locally and be in Jacksonville for Sibling
Rivalry on Saturday night then stop by Kissimmee for the Sunday CRX meet, on the way
back to Tampa.

Hey my car is back on the road.(if I don't blow it up this weekend) I want to go to a meet so I would be interested. I could probably bring about 5 cars. I would just need to know a date. It's crazy the last 2 meets my job had a meeting on the same day. Those were the only meeting we had all year! MEET! MEET! MEET!

 

I'm not sure when or if I truly want to do another meet, From the original group that we had.....Only a few are still involved. Like I previously stated it all depends on how many people are done for one.

I'm not looking for a big group just enough people that will actually get involved with me.

The Euro meet on 31 March is going to be huge over in Hillsborough and the V2Lab meet in Orlando
is going to be good on 08 April.......if your car will make longer distances...... LOL

When someone confirms that Moes or QSL is still going, those are closer to you.
....If you need a shake down meet.....

Here's an observation:
As you go through life, friends will come and go. They move or get killed off...
A person needs to continually make new friends to replace those missing in action,
so to speak.

Maybe the purpose of a meet is not to hang out with the same people we always
hung out with years ago, but to continually bring people into our sport/hobby. The
newbies of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Anything that is not continually
growing is dieing.

On a personal note: One day when you are an old SOB (instead of a young SOB) if
you did not continually add people to your circle of friends, you will notice them
dieing off........that will start your mind thinking that it's time for you to die also.

Nobody dies until they are ready to. When they can no longer take the crap of living,
that's when they cash out and make their exit. As a person's parents get older, that
person will start to see what I'm talking about. ..............but by that time, will they
remember these words of wisdom from Senor Honda?

Those 30 publications I read every month probably cause me to think too much,
and maybe cause me to know too much. Your results may vary. LOL -Bob

 

Well I am a newbie and just got a 02 Civic Si and would love to help get a meet going.

 

Maybe you should stop by some of our local events and talk to people who are succesful at putting them on.
There are also some guidelines at the top of the local events forum.-Bob

 

I chacked TR the morning of the Phillipe park meet to make sure of the time and saw the post was down and had three EF's and A DA coming, was really looking foward to it.
