For those in the USF-Tampa area, there's a group on-campus at USF that holds car meets/events twice a month. It's an official student group at USF, but EVERYONE is invited-- even if you're just interested in spectating.

There's a meet on the Tampa USF campus this THURSDAY, November 11th. The meets start at 9, and end sometime around 11 (but basically whenever everyone leaves). They are held on the top floor of the parking garage on Leroy Collins Blvd., across from the library.

We typically have between 70-100 cars weekly, and we just had a professional film crew shoot a promo video for our group. Two-hundred cars showed, including a twin-turbo R8, an Alfa Romeo 8C, and a bunch of other nice cars.

We're all very down-to-earth people. We're all gearheads at heart, so we appreciate 1.6L Hondas, all the way up to the aforementioned R8.

hey just wondering if your "part" of the group. i go every meet but i just want to make sure that its ok with all of them to put the meet on TR. theres alot of stupid drivers that like to "drift" or burn out on this site and probably isnt the best thing to do is to invite everyone on here haha. anyway it is a nice meet theres cruises somtimes and a dj ect ect.

 

Gosh, if we had some advance notice about the pro film crew, we could have had a few (dozens!) TR cars show up.........

Yeah, I am part of the group. The disclaimer exists "No burnouts, drifting, etc." and it's actually enforced by USFPD, who are at all of our meets, so if you fuck up, you go to jail and/or get a ticket.. so it's not on us.

Hey chris88iroc, I go to UT so I am unfamiliar with USF. Is there an actual address of where you meet that you could post so that I can plug it in my GPS? I have class until 10shared_pm on thursdays, but I would love to get my 88 camaro out there with all of you.

The only 'street' address I can give you for your GPS is the one for the university-- 4202 E. Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL. If you just go in from Fowler and turn in on Leroy Collins Blvd., you follow that road to the end and you'll see the parking garage on the right hand side before the 'roundabout' type deal. It's directly across the street from the library.

 

ok cool. just wondering lol. hope to see a few new ppl out. i think the friday nights are little more packed. but this time its on a thursday. maybe next one (couple weeks) is on friday. sure it is. well ill probably swing through as always.
