I've been running 20-50 all summer, now time to back it down to 10-40

 

I've been on 20-50 since my 1st oil change when I bought the car. i suspect worn valve guide seals to be the cause of the smoke, which I was smoking puffs of blue with 10-30 (Which is what My car is recommended for). I still smoke at idle, just barely. And I'm even burning the 20-50. I burn about 1 to 1.5 qts between changes. I'm going to the Castrol Syn-Blend oil. 10w-40. I've been using regular Pennzoil.

I hope I can make it to the meet this Friday... I'm working til 11p.m. unless I can swap shifts with someone...

i sware this meet needs a better turn out,abunch of us started that spot years ago when they closed us out of the old walmart on embassey and 19 and it used to be a decent turn out..i havnt gone in atlest 3 yrs and i have decided to start going for the past 2 times now and it hasnt really been disapointing but it just seems the cars that do show just hang out in there small groups and dont really even want to associate with other people unless u have the same car.we brought a bunch of srt's up there last week and everyone thinks its gay but it seems that they seem to be the more genuine group of people and want to have a good time..we ran a silver cobra on spray and then when he won he didnt want to try the faster one?i dont know,i am still going again i just wish we could get a more diversafied group of people out there..

yea im not hating AT ALL,like i said we practically started it and have been goin for a looon long time. im just tryin to throw some constructive critisim out here..
