well when you do a carshow i guess cars are fixed up a little better then normal and if ppl consider that rice well to each there own i have been in the car scene for every differant angle and i appriciate everybody who takes there car out to any kind of event being a carshow or race.The problem is ppl are always going to talk shit good or bad and you just have to take it with a grain of salt the show had a great turn out and will be better the next time hats off to Mark and his crew for putting on a good show for a great cause.

 

a) you drive a fucking civic who cares if it is clean or not.
b) you wish you drove someting rwd because fwd is the most pointless thing on the face of the planet.
c) get a real car
d) your just mad because theres no beans with the rice.

 

I think some of you are mistaken by what exactly a car show is. A car show is NOT a car meet. In our show, we judged on 5 categories. Exterior, Interior, Suspension, Performance, and Cleanliness. If some of you feel that the cars out there were "rice", then I'm sorry to hear that. Because the yellow civic is what you call a show car, and so is the orange tiburon, and a lot of the cars that were there. We're only looking for a fast civic in one category, performance. But if your fast civic has shitty paint, dents in the body, curbed wheels, or stock exterior and interior, you're not gonna win. You need to have a good bit of EVERYTHING to win a car show. That's why SSP took home a lot of trophies, because they had cars that looked nice, were well done, and fast. So, if you're calling a WELL done car rice, you need to check yourself, because it's a car show. And quality modding is what we're looking for, not a busted faded civic that can run 11's, keep that for the track. Fast doesn't work in a parking lot.

As for the 240 bashing and whatnot. You're ridiculous. It's a joke, everyone is having a good time. Maybe if you would go around and not expect people to spoon feed you and hold your hand when you go up to someone and talk to them so you can get "in", you might have had a better time. Did you think people would bite you if you went up and talked to them? Because I'm sure that if you would just go talk to people and have a good time, you may have heard that conversation a little better and realized a rhd mustang was a joke, instead of eves dropping and then trying to make fun of something you misunderstood. Next time, go around and talk to people. Nobody was really in a "clique". You might enjoy yourself some more if you just grow some kahunas and start talking to people.

And btw, on the yellow s2k, it looks like he just took off the stock airbox and put a cone filter on. I wouldn't call it rice as much as I'd call it budget modding. A pipe is a pipe. He may have lost 1 whp with it compared to a injen or name brand, but you know what? He's got $200 more in his pocket to put toward something else...

If you really want to say something negative, you should probably try and turn it into a suggestion for the show. I'm sorry if you didn't like something about the show, but, if you'd realize that it's our first show we've ever done, I think we did a pretty damn good job. Having 75 cars attend and raising over 500 bucks is pretty good. And I thank everyone who came out for that. It was an awesome turnout with awesome cars and I hope we can only make it grow from here.

Im Not Bashing Anybody's Car Everybody Has There Own Likes And Dislikes When I Said "rice" I Meant In The Car World Today Its All About "jdm This" And "jdm That" So Some Of The Cars Could Be "rice" According To The Standards Of The Car Scene Today Thats All I Was Saying

 

i had a great time for a while. i said the show was good. like 5 fucking times. it was a good turn out but more rice theme. learn to fucking read. we have been over this like 10 times already the show had a good turn out was fun and good. but was rice themed.
and if you were reffering to my civic you better open you fucking eyes becuase my rims were mint no curb rash nada, my interior was not stock it was legit jdm type r interior clean as hell, my engine bay people bust nuts seeing it, my body had no dents or damages.

and for the 240sx bashing. seriously car show (car that are clean) not sum pos run down car with no interior no tranny no esxhuast leave that for the track.

btw if you look to the left in the s2k engine bay you see the foil like pipe that i was reffering to a useless mod that to most people would be consider rice.

Again, TO ME (RICE = CHEAP LOOKING MODS) and it seemed like a lot of it. I know everyone isnt a millionaire or spnosored but some cars there seemed too rice for MY taste, and yes mr. loner does get carried away sometimes, but i did personally introduce myself to pretty much everyone there who i saw, and it seemed like people were more inclined to stay within their own group. AGAIN, its MY opinion, and not everyone was the same. It just seemed like the over all feel, i was there since the show opened so maybe later on people opened up and shared a bit more, but when i was there its how i felt.. maybe it is MY problem.. but this a forum... and u post the event to hear the opinions so there is mine.
