Good Turn Out at Clearwater Moe's On Saturday night
It was a good turnout.......Great place for a meet.......Plenty of light, middle of a parking lot so the "burnout inclined" are not doing it close to the meet .....if at all......saw some interesting things......intake ideas from the S2000's...for instance....
ALL types of cars.....WRX...Acura.....Nissan...Honda.....CRX... .a LINCOLN!....clean install on those HID's......next time I hope to get there early enough to eat dinner inside MOE's A/C....Gearhead Automotive guy from Dunedin says he can orger ANY part we need for imports. Couple cars from New Port Richey and other places.......
Around 10PM we got a call that the cops were busting 'em over on the causeway.....but that didn't affect me.....
Deputy Sheriff did a drive-by later.........couldn't see if he did a burnout when he pulled onto Gulf to Bay.....
Leaving the place, when I turned on the the Bayside Bridge, Clearwater PD had pulled some cars....no one I recognized, but I quickly put on my sunglasses to make myself invisible, then leaned the seat down into the back and ducked my head just in case.
Some other imports were on the side a few blocks later with their flashers on, presumably waiting for their friend who got stopped.
Heading over the Gandy there was another group of imports parked between the last set of street lights and close to the road on the West end of the bridge, but no one was doing anything stupid, and they had enough sense to park in the light in case the ricer-patrol-cops were inclined to keep an eye on them.-Bob
