As asked, here's a discussion thread for future EF Meets.

IMO, DeSoto is a nice spot for car meets, but because it's a bit of a drive for many people (lol), and because I would like the grow the meet, I'm considering moving it for the next one. I've heard several people mention Philippe Park as a good canidate for future meets.

DeSoto Pros:
-Great bathrooms
-Nice location
-Shade = Cool
-Beach for White/Kids
-Great Grill Area

DeSoto Cons:
-Far Drive
-Toll to get in

So, what do you guys think about moving it to Philippe Park (or possibly having it at a different location each time?), or moving it to another park? Or should we simply keep it at DeSoto?

first off Desoto was the shit!!!!!

as for the cons i came from temple terrace and took me roughly 45 mins.

second the toll and entrance were only $0.85 which isn't going to kill anyone. i'm sure everyone can find that in between the car seats whenever they're cleaning their interior for the meet.

Third the BATHROOMS MAN have you not seen the bathrooms!!!!! lol that alone is worth going lol.

i vote for DeSoto Park again but i'll be there for where ever it is B)

I can make it to either park I loved the drive to fort desoto but if moving it to Philippe park will bring more people,Then well I'll look into getting the burger's. But some parks are charging for a shelter rental so we need to check that, I just paid $50 for my daughter's B-day shelter at walsingham park.

My question is should it be an EF/EG meet to bring in more people?

 

^ doesn't matter to me. It'd be nice to see the older models for sure, but I wouldn't complain if other cars showed up. I kind of like everything...

 

I still kick myself for not making it to the meet.. But I will set 3 alarms to wake me up in time to go to the next one.
