It's not even all about 'just standing there'. There's no parking down that entire stretch of road from one time to another - the times the racing takes place! There's signs all over the place pointing it out, so you can't say anything about that.

 

It will get thrown out just like it has the other 50 times they tried this shit..Big waste of time,money and effort..It doesnt stand up in court and any halfass lawyer will prove that.

 

Then hand out parking tickets..Not moving violations and fines when your NOT MOVING or even in your damn car,

 

They tried that, but it didn't seem to work obviously. Don't get me wrong, I think it's lame as hell that they handed out spectator fines, and I'm normally out at 4th street just like the majority of you guys. It's just dumb to try and fight something you know you did, and I'm a firm believer in the old 'if you can't do the time, don't do the crime'. If you don't want to pay a spectator fine, don't go out to the races.

I will say, though... I think it's REALLY stupid that they tack the points onto the fine.

 

Actually texting/ talking on the cell is more dangerous than DUIs. It also causes more crashes than DUI, but everyone does it so its OK, right?

okay ladies gentlemen morons and idiots alike go ahead cry foul try to sit there and say spectating tickets are against your rights and i somewhat agree the points should not be added that i will agree with but saying that DUI's do not carry a harsh enough penalty is bull you get busted for a DUI its license gone for 6 mons first time by the third time you have no license so lets not go there texting while driving is bad yes and it needs to be illegal but unless you guys intend on getting together and going in front of congress and saying how street racing needs to be legalized and watch yourselves get thrown out of congress and laughed at. street racing is illegal and watching something that is illegal and not doing anything about it makes you an accessory so be happy they dont just haul everyone in in handcuffs which they can do so man up pay your tickets take the class to eliminate the points and call it a damn day
