I'm saying that it appears the announcer/manager guy had the final (if not, the only) say in who took home a trophy. You don't need an NCCA rule book simply to pick out the crowd's favorite cars, but you do need some sort of system of tallying the numbers. The showdown might have worked if this guy, Arnell, would've shut his mouth and let the crowd decide. The girl in the Scion would've had as many friends in the crowd as the girl in the Mitsu, anyhow.

No one could see or hear the cars all that well anyway. Like I said, all the people on the left clapped for the left car, all the people on the right clapped for the right car. I wish I was on the left side so I could be the one guy yelling out for the right car to win. Which car was louder? I dunno, which one were you closer to. BS. Haha, if they told me to crank up my system, I guess I'd have to play a ringtone off my cell phone b/c I got no fuggin system.

I guess overall, it was a good show, it was organized up to the judging portion, food, music, vendors, and a good turn out. Yea, there were a lot of ricers, but that's any show. The only thing they could've done better is cleared out the parking lot more beforehand.

 

Haha, I love it when people go to shows and EXPECT to win something. Then they cry about it afterwards. You have people who take a bone stock car and 'accessorize' it until you can't fit another out-of-catalog part on the thing, then you have people who do their own bodywork with a paint job so glassy a surgeon could use it as a mirror.

now on to the comments.

first off, Arnell Howard is a moron on all senses. from day one (back when we changed the date of this show 3 times because he forgot his WIFES BIRTHDAY) i told him there would be 150+ cars there... we had 122 registered cars there. i told him that we needed to have the show in the back lot were we ended up, he wanted to have it in front of the dealership, i said ok, move ALL the cars off the lot.... after arguing about that for a week or so, he was going to clear out the space that he did clear out (80 or so spaces) in front of the dealership... Tampa Scikotics showed up at 2pm ot get ready for the show and he said he though we should have the show back where i said from day one.... umm ok... i asked if we could move all the trade in cars and he said no...

Tampa Scikotics did not win any awards, Tampa Scikotics was the host of the show, Scikotics is a nation wide Scion owners club with over 3000 members national, we had people in our club drive from Jacksonville, Ft. Myers, Orlando, and Ft. Lauderdale for the show... if anyone in our crew won an award there were from one of the chapters that did nothing for the show.

Best club... Scikotics won that as a whole, Scikotics had 39 cars there (11 were from Tampa) thats still 28 cars, the second club was only 18 cars which was KAD, again, Arnell Howard wanted to just count cars and not do what i wanted which was take into account car quality, cars repping a decal for the club, members wearing clothes for the club, and all the other stuff that goes over just showing up.

voting/judging was the dumbest/saddest thing i have ever witnessed. from day one Arnell Howard wanted to do peoples choice for all classes and from day one i told him that was a terrible idea and that the people dont vote for nice cars, they vote for their friends cars.. he didnt care... his first choice was to find some hot chick to walk around to all the cars and have everyone yell for cars all night.... :eyeroll:

i apologize to all the female contestants in the show, the way you were treated was terrible and my fault. i knew we needed a way for the public to be able to tell which car was a females, just never thought of the obvious of puttingit on your number sheet... the whole stand by your car thing that Arnell Howard came up with was idiotic to say the least.

and i also apologize to the 2 females in the "sound off" for first... how that was even supposta work, i dont know. i do know that when Arnell Howard went to get the Eclipse from Cobra Crew (sorry i dont remember the owners name) he told her crew that they were not allowed to come with her... why on earth did that need to be said to them!?!? he didnt say ANYTHING to the owner of the Scikotic xA... that whole event ruined the show.

the event was supposta be peoples choice but then i hear from Dan(Crazy Blue Celica), and Chris (Leader for Team Xplicit) that Arnell Howard is walking around telling people to bump there stereos... we didnt have a stereo class in the damn show! i asked Arnell Howard why he was asking people to bump their stereo heres that convo, it was event number 2 of the night that made me want to lay him out.

Arnell Howard because i cant tell what a stereo sounds like from looking at it.
me you cant tell what a stereo sounds like from hearing it either, you dont build stereos, you dont work with stereos, your not an audiophile, you dont know anything about cars, let alone the stereo, you didnt know who meguiars was before the show, how on earth could you know anything about stereos.
Arnell Howard because i have been listening to music since before you were born.

(yall prolly saw me at the show, i was wearing a black hat with pink writing on it, a black Dickie shirt with pink writing on it, pink shorts with black writing on them, and black shoes with pink laces) i was fine after the stereo convo, but after the female ride event i changed clothes so that when i swung on Arnell Howard (which i REALLY wanted to do, but people talked me out of it) i wouldnt be representing my club at the time.

the award show was an abomination to say the least. i had walked away and was trying to figure out a way to get my car out to go home when they were doing this, but i was stuck behind 5 other scions at the time. i just heard them call out a bunch of numbers.... the ONLY reason we had yall fill out the registration info is so we could call a NAME and CAR for the awards so you and everyone knew what one, the rest of the contact info was incase you left early and we needed to hunt you down to give you your award. i have no idea why they didnt bother looking at that info to do things proper. i am sorry to everyone who won.

i am sorry to everyone who gave up their saturday night and the gas to come to this event. i am very grateful to everyone who did come and i hope that you would be willing to come to another Scikotic sponsored event in the future. i think the only issues with the event were the lack of drinks, the lack of close bathrooms, lack of organized parking, and the act of allowing Arnell Howard to be present at the event.... ok so really the show sucked LMAO but we all made the best of it.

lastly, Scikotics HAD been having weekly meets at clearwater toyota Wednesday nights at 7pm he told me at the end of the show that he wanted to have a meeting with our club in the board room, in this meeting our club plans to show up go to the board room, give them a letter informing them our club will have nothing to do with the dealership as long as Arnell Howard works there and then walking out... if anyone or any clubs would like to come to this event we will be going to the Tilted Kilt across the street to hang out after. please PM me if you would like to come and well work out the details.

Joey I saw you there busting your ass to keep everything in line the whole night. I feel bad for you and Scikotics because that stupid fuck (Arnell) made you guys look horrible. Most of the people there probably thought he was part of Scikotics and not the manager of the actual dealership.

CANT BELIEVE YOU DIDNT GET DOMESTIC!! HOLY CRAP!!

The show was a pretty decent turn out, it did seem VERY unorganized though. The announcers were all trying to talk out of their minds instead of having something in front of them to read off of. Our event sponsors were JDM U P S, Professional Detailing, etc...

I had a raffle for a $100 Gift certificate, no one wanted a raffle. It was about to rain and I had to keep my top down on the s2k to fit all my vendor gear! haha! So I left early during the "judging of the two girls rides" joke..

Other than that, it was a learning experience for me and I enjoyed being there! I will attend the next event. It was nice meeting new people too!

Damn bro lol. It was a little bit of chaos but wasn't that bad. I actually would still go to another car show of a mixed crowd, as I told some of the people there I am tired of going to the Vette only show where most of the people are old fashioned and don't like drastic changes. I met allot of cool people with some nice rides, saw some sweet projects/swaps, I met a few people that I will take some business to, and overall I had fun sharing conversation with most of the people there with the exception of the hispanic corner towards the entrance eye fucking my G/F. I look forward to hopefully going to some more with the rest of you.
