What impressed me was that the import guys were reasonably cool.

unfortunately this passed saturday night a few of us were leaving lakeland to head to tampa, one of the guys with us threw a rod merging onto I-4 from the polk parkway. well in the proccess of trying to get his car hooked up to tow it off the highway an oncoming car smashed into the back of his car. pushing his car into the car attempting to tow him, which he was standing inbetween the 2 cars and was injured in the midst of everything. unfurtunately he didnt make it, LRMC had him on life support till his family made the decision to take him off due to his injuries he would never recover from.

only a few of us out there knew who he was, as he is from Mass. and was only down here to attend UTI in orlando. his girlfriend was in the passenger seat of the car when it got hit, she luckily walked away with only minor injuries, aswell as the driver of the car attempting to tow his. he was lucky enough to run on foot far enough out of harms way, although his car was involed in the accident causing alot of damage to his car aswell.


R.I.P. Josh O'keefe he went into surgery at 10:00shared_pm tonight( Monday June 14th 2010) where he is donating his organs and saving 7 lives.

^ well the only problem i see is that him being from Mass. there would be no family members involved. good idea though, i can run it by his classmate who was also involved in the accident seeing as he has been talking with the family.

 

thank you troy he thought your car was badass lol glad you guys got the chance to meet..he thought lakeland and tampa were the shit lol he hated orlandos ricers so he just started comin over here to the meets and races...im glad he was having fun when it happened i know his motor was blown but he didnt care that just meant he could put his built block in his car....btw that built block is going into a 2000 coupe at our school and gona be boosted just like he wanted...so my first boosted single cam d16 swap will be for my boy ....thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers

 

wow, terrible to hear. didnt know him, but its always sad to lose a fellow car enthusiast. stuff like that makes you realizes that anything can happen at anytime for any reason. If anything is organized I will gladly attend and bring out several thers as well
