All you have to do is ask him if he is a cop. If he says no, and he actually is a cop, it's entrapment and you can NOT get in trouble.

For an actual entrapment case, the law enforcement officer has to directly ask you to do something illegal. If he pulls up next to you, says I'm a cop, and revs his engine at you, then procedes to race you, its still not entrapment.
