Lots of zombie movies are using runners now. The Dawn of the Dead remake had em. And I think Land of the Dead did too after awhile? I can't remember there's another one I'm missing though. But this is obviously a new progression.

I don't recall dawn of the dead having runners in it. I know land of the dead didn't. Maybe they are power walking zombies!
