Riverview Car meet!!!!! every Friday
if you catch a cop on the wrong day he WILL pull out the db meter...never happened to me though and I always ride open header/ downpipe
Yeah...the law is the law but it really does depend on the cop on what happens to you. So it appears that the two state statutes kind of contradict themselves. But neither says you cant modify the exhaust. One says you cant modify the exhaust to be louder then your stock exhaust (which means unless cops are driving around with books that show the db levels of every car ever made this may be hard to prove) and the one says "in no event shall an exhaust system allow noise at a level which exceeds a maximum decibel level to be established by regulation of the Department of Environmental Protection as provided in s. 403.061(13)"
Then a test must be done from 50' away in the center of the lane traveled....lol.
MAN....I'd have to say there going to have a tough time with this one in court. If you get a ticket for this study the statute that they give you the ticket on and you may get lucky. One time I got a speeding ticket and the statute said that non business/non residential roadways in Hillsborough county should have a speed limit set to 55 mph (45 was posted) unless a survey is done to prove it was necessary to reduce the limit, I called dot and got a letter saying a survey was never done and I beat it in court.
Anyway, the point is the law does not say "ANY modification to the exhaust is illegal"
Good luck, have Fun.

A little of the latest topic
I've got prices to re-upholster my seats and for the money they want I could get like some Momo's, Corbeau, sparco, lite glow, etc..but I can not possibly buy something like this without sitting in them. Does anyone know of somewhere that might have some I can try out? I'd be willing to go to like, Tampa, Clearwater, St. pete, Brandon, Sarasota, Lakeland. Thanks for any input.

I thought bold and red was enough to show you it does say exactly that the first time but I guess not

You are correct, it isnt enforced a cop will not pull over a Mid life crisis Harley rider, but will pull over a young guy in a civic.
Wow dude......you related to niko?? LMAO. You keep saying any modification is Illegal but the big red text you put in there PROVES WITHOUT DOUBT that it is not true. Its only illegal if, IF!! " the noise emitted by the motor vehicle is above that emitted by the vehicle as originally manufactured."
So Modifing your exhaust is NOT illegal unless " the noise emitted by the motor vehicle is above that emitted by the vehicle as originally manufactured.
Hopefully the bold red type makes it easy to read. LMAO
Since arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics, whether you win or lose your still retarded, This is all i'm going to say about it, I hope the big red text explains is well enough....one more time It is NOT illeagal unless "the noise emitted by the motor vehicle is above that emitted by the vehicle as originally manufactured."
Good chat.
