Gainesville Raceway ROADCOURSE Test & Tune May 13th!!
Starting a post to inform you all that the Gainesville Raceway will be hosting it's Second Road Course Test & Tune on Saturday May 13th.
The driving training and vehicle dynamics test track is a 1.6mile road course facility designed and built specifically with a mix of different types of curves, corners, intersections and straight-aways. I'm encouraging everybody to test the limits of their cars and the laws of physics and come out to the event on the 13th.
Information:
Morning Session: $30 8am-12pm
Afternoon Session: $30 1pm-5pm
ALL DAY PASS $50
Crew/Spectators $5
( The morning and afternoon course will differ and offer challenges to both inexperienced and veteran drivers)
ALL DRIVERS MUST HAVE A HELMET AND PASS BASIC TECH INSPECTION.
(Racecars must meet SCCA standards)
We are definatly looking to have alot of fun with this and should run smoothly given the experience of the staff and the GM.
I had a ton of questions thrown my way about the event and the most common was: "How many runs do we get?" Obviously we can't guarantee runs but to give you an idea there will be 3-4 cars in intervals on the course at the same time running 45s-1min lap times = ALOT MORE RUNS THAN THE SCCA!
After the success of our first one some ppl can tell you that they actually had to take a break to let their cars cool off because they were getting so many runs in on ONE SESSION. ( I had cars with 15+ runs in one session)
BROKE? THAN VOLUNTEER!!.
Volunteer for 1 session and drive the other session FREE!!!
I still need more volunteers so contact me via Email at: bwarner@ufl.edu if you can make the drive early and you are interested.
OUR GOAL is to give you as many runs as possible by keeping the cars flowing through the course so come out and have a good time.

If you have any questions please post them and I will do my best to answer or you can contact me via email given the link above.
Sorry for the Late notice for those of you in the Tampa area but I hope that a few of you decide to come out and have a good time.
If the volume of people is good then we might make this a monthly event, so show up in numbers to help keep this alive.
Thank you for letting me post on your website.

No pre-registration required, it is a show up and pay event.
You are more then welcome to show up for one session and leave, course work is not required to drive in this event.
We are going to see what the turn out for this event is to see whether or not it is going to provide a source of revenue for the track and determine if we are giong to have more.
Hope to see some of you out there.

Please keep these going! This is what Ive been waiting for, just found out about it too late. IMO, if you give TR enough notice you will have agreat turnout EVERY MONTH! Its great for us trying to dial in a suspension, us road course/auto x guys never get something like this, whereas the drag guys can go every week....
