That sucks to hear your turbo blew. There are black blowing up all over the country. The damn things need more oil pressure than the standard evo tends to make. You are better off with the red. Or you should see if the will give you one of the bb 35rs. They are about the same price.

 

So that whole "once you go black, you never go back" thing really is NOT true???

 

Sure isn't for me. I'd never put another Black on my car again unless I got an exceptional deal to offset the cost of sending it to the UK for a BB upgrade. The journal bearing oil pressure requirements for the black IMO are too high for a standard Evo that still has balance shafts and other factory internals in place that would increase oil pressure if removed. I was told by FP once over 4,000rpms at WOT the FP Black requires a minimum of 70psi of oil pressure.....

oh u meant in the eg, ya the tensioner losened some how, but it spun the middle main bearings thats why it was pig rich, but she will be back up shortly
