My 1979 Honda Civic CVCC...
My 1979 Honda Civic CVCC...
I have a daily driver 1979 Honda Civic CVCC. Bought it in 2006 and have been fixing on it ever since. A week after I bought the car, the 1.5L engine blew so I had a 1.8L engine from a 1979 Accord put in. This is a common swap since it is a straight drop in engine. I've had the car stripped all the way to the bare metal and brought back to its current state (charcoal gray primer). This year, I had a front air dam built strictly for this car (only one made by this guy) and put on a set of Carroll Shelby 13x5.5 wheels with Sumitomo 175/50-13 tires. The last part of January will find my car in the paint booth getting its final paint (factory blue).
Pictures will be in chronological order. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you for sharing this. Keep up the work.
I miss my 78 Civic CVCC. It was my very first Civic. It had the semi automatic in it. I would have never given it up but I had a bad front end accident with it in 1990.
I so want another 78 as a restoration project some day.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
