Default :) Oil Oil Oil :)

So I haven't seen this thread up yet, and well I I didn't search either but here it goes.

I'm curious as to what oil you guys are using and why, and what weight.

Ok I will start, I used to use catrol gtx always but they aren't putting the zinc additives in it that help protect bearings, so I am switching to kendall gt1 I was told Wal-Mart super tech is made by kendall also.

I'm using 10-40 in my b16 and 5-30 in the k20

Whos next?

Castrol 5W40 because they're the only readily available 5W40 oil in Daytona.

Fucking german engines.

I put mobile 1 full synthetic 10w-30

I was going to buy royal purple for my last oil change but then i did the math and 6 quarts of that oil would make my wallet hurt lol

AMSOIL FTW and Royal Purple BTW was tested and rated as most harmful/worst oil to put in an engine. If you want zinc Rotella has it in their oil and heavy weight oil is easy to get because its diesel oil. Mobile 1 has always been good and I have Castrol Syntec in my motor now but will not be using it again on account of it being BP which loves to fuck up the Gulf
