I like the new camera's that pinellas county sheriffs dept, They are mounted on the trunks of a few select cruisers and scan multiple plates at a time. This way they can check for warrants or whatever is attached to that tag.

 

On the trunks ? We live in florida and only have tags on the back ?

 

It doesn't matter, every detector does. But once it hits you, that's it. There's no chance to slow down, no chance to react. Once the detector goes off, the cop already has your speed.

Yeah it's pretty cool, one comes into my work all the time. They are aimed outwards from the car from the trunk so when he drives by you or vis versa they scan your license plate number for any warrants, etc.

If you get hit by laser, you'll know. The detectors make the most annoying noise and it's constant to let you know. They might as well just have it start yelling "You're Fucked"
