Recovered: 1991 White CRX
i fucking hope those bastards burn in hell for doing that to a CRX!
that was def done by people who knew exactly what to do to strip it. they had to be working in a shop or a storage area where people would think its their job to do what they did to that car.
i hope the police are doing something other than laughing.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

so the people that did this had a tow truck or something similar? how did they get it out there? if your on TR and you know a person on TR that's stealing cars then you need to speak up. if you are not saying something then your no better than they are.
i feel for her loss, she was probably attached to this car. why else would you keep something that long.
if cops cared they would already have the people doing it. was a single fingerprint taken off the car? i bet the people doing this crap have a criminal record. cops don't care unless someone is hurt or dead. being a crx or lambo does not mater to them. when is the last time we heard of someone going to jail for this type of stuff? even if they were arrested unless they still have your stuff you won't see anything anyway, some justice system...

The cops impounded the car so they could lift prints off of it later today when the dew dried off.
The cop was really cool, took them to where the car was found and let them take pictures, etc.
She talked to the car for a few mins, then let them tow it away.
oddly enough, it was stolen sunday night of last week and found sunday night/monday morning of this week......
They also found the magnetic numbers from the original pic that she uses at the track inside the car..... plus her championship t-shirt from when she won her class last season..... Someone knew that would matter to the owner.
shady stuff indeed

My friend Jason took the shell, cut it up and used it to repair his SCCA race CRX. So my car lived on in a very cool way
I am pleased to hear the cops are actually looking into this and I would think they would after seeing the condition of this CRX. There is nothing there. JFC the sbuframe is gone, the trailing arms are gone, everything. It clearly states a professional set up shop somewhere. I hope they find him and take him down.
And I do agree about the personal items being left behind. Or was it the fucking bastards are on this website and saw the picture you posted and thought it would be funny to leave those items behind?
For everyone that thinks I am nuts about my cars being stolen that this could happen to them well sadly enough here is the proof

well it is more local, and I did post it up on FortMyersRacing.com too
who knows, I'm not going to over think it and just hope the police are able to find something out.
Now its just time to help her build the next car

Well.. i havd forgotten that i had an acct here.. but anyways... That is my girlfriends car. And yes it had sentimental value. She had owned it since the day it rolled off the showroom floor. It was one of the few where everything still worked in it..LOL... Now that it has been recovered she feels a bit better, she just wanted to know where her car was even if it meant that we had to see it off to the junkyard. Im not sure who did it or why and at this point its the sheriff depts problem. My concern is making my woman whole again.. We have an old joke in our house but its fairly accurate. We dont have children, we have cars. and we treat them as such. The oficer thought she was crazy when she said she wanted to follow the flatbed to the impound yard till she asked him "Would you bury your child without going to the funeral?" thats when he realized what it meant to her. I hope the people that got her get screwed with the parts they stole.. i mean what is the value of a D16A6 honda engine and trans with 250,000 miles on it... i mean really... oh well.. like i said... My only concern is to make her whole again.. in some capacity..
BUT I WANT TO PERSONALY THAK EVERYONE FOR THERE HELP.. ESPECIALLY JASON... DEFINATELY A GOOD FRIEND INDEED......
