Question; insurance -crash
So i totalled my coupe, and im wondering wtf the insurance company is going to look at when they tow my car.. im wondering if i can rip shit off that i havent already done; wiring harness, fuse box, fuses etc. any help guys??

They will check shit like that, pull out any afc's, gauges (add on), intake, stuff that doesn't affect the car running. They want to see a car that was able to actually be driven at time of the crash...legally driven might I add so no go on taking out the lights and shit lol
I wouldn't honestly touch it, let the insurance see EVERYTHING so it jacks up what the car is worth. Then ask to buy back the car for cheap. They usually sell em back really really cheap and all you have to do it get it to your house where you can part it out and keep what you want off it. Then just scrap it for metal afterwards.

If its totaled and you have full insurance, they will cut you a check for it and then ask you if you want to buy it back for like 300 or so. And then they will just take that out from what you are getting. Then part out your civic and sell all of it and make profit.

well its totalled, and they already gave me the quote theyre gonna pay me.. im only getting 1600 cuz stupid rebuilt title.. and as soon as my dad gets the money theyre gonna tow it. but im wondering if they are still gonna check for shit, or if they are just gonna tow the bitch away...

yea if they are going to tow it then they are going to be the ones to either part it out or sell it at auction to be parted out to make some of their money back.
you have a lot of good body parts on it that you can probably sell if you have the time and place to part it out.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

They will not take the car unless you do not want to buy the car back from them. Wait till the insurance company comes out to look at your car, DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING OFF until they make the quoted amount you will get back. When they tell you how much you will get for the car, they will give you the option to buy the car back for like $200-$500 if you fell like its worth it then buy it back and either fix it or part it or??
