What would you think of a RWD Civic?

rwd civic = FAIL IT WOULDNT BE A CIVIC its fun to spank on a rwd domestic with the a half the size engine ftw car if anyhting i see them coming out with a mnid engine civic before it's completely rwd

mid engine. hadn't thought of that. it would be interesting to see what they would propose as the platform for it.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

a mid engine car puts the weight between the front and rear wheels.. that is never gonna happen with a front wheel, cuz the engine has to sit on top of the front wheels, making the balance uneven.. real mid engine cars are for rwd..
and last, i think the civic is the civic for what it is, if they change anything about it it wont be a civic no more.. like mentioned above about the new rear sus on new civics.. those suck and i would not drive one if i was trying to do more than grocery getting.. they really are pooping the civic so they should change the name, because its not the same car anymore.. loll//

AWD is where its at. However there is more cost, moving parts, and less power to the wheels. Can you imagine some of our low powered tiny motors trying to turn another drive shaft and 2 more wheels? It would be so slow lol Obviously they would need to step it up. I say J series AWD! If you can take that motor, make it AWD and put it in w/e Civic or not it would be pretty bad ass. Honda did have some planning or developement to start making their line of cars AWD. Most likely that will be an option. Garrett also told me that by 2020? 70% of the vehicles produced will have a turbo. Now Honda already has the RDX? I think it is thats turbo?
