My computer teacher gave me my first Honda.

It had problems......
1. Everything instantly blew fuses and nothing electrical worked except the light that said "battery". The RF tire had blown and as it came apart, it stripped the insulation off all the wiring....then it twisted all the wires together....then it broke the wires.........

2. It drove down the road crooked......

I fixed the problems........
After careful measuring, I lowered the car 3" with cut springs, after replacing $600 of bad suspension pieces..........

I learned to measure suspensions where I now lower cars the same way for other people......... without blown shocks, without coils flopping around, without beatup suspensions...........

I redid the wiring where everything worked, as well as put in a few disabling devices to keep the car from getting stolen............

While I install anti-theft devices for other people, unfortunately, most people want anti-theft stuff done after their car was already stolen.

Then the car got crashed...
On the drivers side by a cell phone-talking, stop sign-running incompetent, who knocked me across the street and headon into an oversize wooden telephone pole.....as the car was about to center the pole, I thought that was going to be my last crash.....

Always have your car towed to your house.........
Keep the phone number of the cheapest tow truck company in your wallet, 'cuz if the cops call a wrecker instead, you will pay more for it.

I was adding up my reciepts on the trunk as the insurance adjuster arrived. He totaled the car and wrote me a check on the spot for what I would pay for the car at a used car lot.

He said: "Also, since it will cost us another $150 to have the car towed out of your yard, we are going to let you KEEP THE CAR!"....that meant that I got all my new parts back and spare parts galore for the next car.....

Two weeks later, I bought another car for $500 less than the check.
I put all my new suspension parts on the new car. I have used the spare parts every now and then.

And today?
The $500 went into the gas tank.......................driving to meets where my car has been seen by hundreds of people who come up and talk
about suspensions with "Senor Honda".

...........and where the back end has been seen by many more..........as I outbrake the motorcycles coming into the turns, pass the Corvettes on the outside, and pull away at the turn's exit..........a very satisfying feeling....... -Bob
