91 crx or 91 hacthy?
I have had many many CRXs and a bunch of hatches too.. Depends on your future plans..
CRX= 2 door 2 seater hot rod. You can carry 1 friend OR 1 women..
Plus it is lighter handles better and good aerodynamics..
Hatch= 2 door 4 seater hot rod... LOL... You can carry your friends, your ladies, some groceries...etc.... Hard to get a car seat & baby in and out of... What are your future plans when carring so many ladies???
Now when it gets good..
IS IT YOU DD??
HAVE A WOMEN??
HAVE KIDS??
WAGOVAN???
Quick break down
CRXs I love them, that is why I still have my 91 Si, but it is only my toy...
Hatches Love them too, that is my I still have my 89 Si, but never driven...
or
Wagovans... I have 2 of them, plenty of room for the Ladies, Friends, Groceries, Kids, Pets, Tools, Parts, Home Depot Runs...etc... And your racing parts for both the CRX & the Hatch will fit it (for the most part)... It is a 4 Door Hatchback....
You have to love what you have and if not, then find the car that fits your lifestyle the best...

Hatches have a longer wheelbase and the weight difference is almost negligible.
Fully gutted a CRX HF vs an EF hatch DX is about 40lb difference.
if you are really looking to make it a drag/race car i'd go for the rex, every pound counts.
If you plan on using it as a DD I'd go for the hatch, CRX's are targeted by cops and you will get pulled over a lot, even if you are not doing anything wrong.
