Default Do you ever ...

Do ever take your receipts from modding your car and add them up?

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I always do, I like to know exact numbers on what I spend and I find it crazy how that much money was spent over time.

I would probably cry at the fact I would only make back a 1/3rd of what I spent when I decide to sell her...and thats on a good day.

Why punish ourselves... LOL... I did on my old show car, till I realized that I had 16K+ into a 1991 Honda and then I decided never to do that again, I then let the car site over 6 years & now it is out-dated and kinda RICEY... LOL

I know this is a girl thing but one day I walked into Tiffany's and I fell in love with one of their classic Roman Numeral Platinum necklaces and it was perfect on me. That is when I realized I could buy almost two of them with what I have into my kids (Honda's) right now.

Scary. But in at the end of the day my kids make me smile more than that necklace ever could.

No wonder BJ taught me to never add up the receipts. Though I do keep a budget in mind.

I've kept track since the day I bought my car. I'll never get back what I put in as far as money. But it's still well worth it to me, I've had so much fun with my car!
