They really aren't...do your homework before you post that. I have seen many MANY stock sleeved boosted b20's running absolutely fine. It is all in who/how it is tuned and what parts you put on it just like any other setup. Tune it with crappy a/f's and yes they are doomed...tune it well with good supporting mods and you are fine.

yeah its just what alot of people say though ya know? i can count ten people off the top of my head who have said that after i got my swap ohh be careful of the sleeves and there not dumb either but you know what, my b20 is a solid motor im real satisfied with it i just dont think id trust it on boost. its perfect for na from what ive seen from my friends' builds.

i love my da with the b20, i feel with the proper trans it would be even nastier. but i have been tempted to boost it but afraid from what i have heard about the sleeves.

My EF is my DD too...if you boost with good parts you will still have a DD with minimal downtime. Tuning is key to everything...and also, a high HP N/A build will put more stress on those sleeves than a boosted build...your running a leaner tune with more ignition advance and more heat in the cylinders and last but not least you will be running higher rpms...and still not make as much power lol

^trust me i know. i have a 97 b20 in my db, my friend has a built b20/vtak and his wife has a b20 integra, idk im still debating what i wanna do next i just threw the b20 in so it could be my dd until i saved up for my build, but ive been satisfied with the motor that i kinda wanna keep it in the car lol. im still learnin but what ive seen that b20's like the most is spray! i was thinkin doing a 75 shot tuned with mild cams and head work.

That would be pretty nasty...but you will need a dual map tune. Contact Jap on here, good guy.
