You could pick up a compression tester at at your local automotive parts store like Discount or Auto Zone. Get that equipment and plug into one of your spark plug holes and crank the engine over 5-6 times (I Think). The gauge will tell you your compression ratio.

do the comp test on your motor after it is warmed up.
