I have a 96' GS-R(B18c1)and the map sensor on the TB is going bad. It'll make the check engine light come on and the car will start acting funny. Like if it's not getting enough fuel,and a little bit of black smoke will come out the exhaust pipe,(smelling like carbon.) So, when that happens. I take off the negative cable from the battery and that resets the code, and it won't happen for a while.(but it still happens.) What I really want to know is could I use a Map sensor from a 2000 GS-R TB, in my 96'GS-R TB. I've switched it out already, but as soon as I started the car it was reving like crazy at about 3,500 to 4,000 rpm and the car was shaking like it was going to shut off. So I turned off my car and switched the Map sensor back the way it was. I really need help with this situation. If anyone has had this same problem or knows what I can do let me know, please. Thanx.
