damn head!!
Ok here is the deal I have a 94 b16a swap in my hatch. The head got warped from overheating due to water pump falure some time ago. Well i finally got time to get the head fixed and everything put together. Now today i got the car running and there is a nasty noise comming from the head. I know its valves, I know they are tighten down to prefect spec. Is there anyway of knowing they are bent or broken, without removing them from the head? I was told to check the seal from the backside by pouring water by the valve seals. no water leaked at all. There is no blowout at all, the only thing is that noise, it comes and it goes but sometimes it stays for a few secs. Can someone help me please. If they are bad how hard is it to put new ones in, should i just change springs and retainers while im at it too. If the job is alittle to hard where is a good cheap place to get this done at?
Thanks Rich

sounds like lost motion assemblies or valve lash. Run a compression test to rule out bent valves and go from there.
