Default stutter...

my motor (B16A) stutters/hesitates when i give it gas sometimes... not all the time and not at any certain rpm... sometimes it doesnt do it at all, but im guaranteed to be plagued with it every time i drive (it happens pretty often)... the weird thing about it is that it never happens when the car is cold, only after the motor warms up to the normal temperature... the computer isnt throwing a code and everything is normal except for this...

anybody have any idea what this could be? i have changed plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, rewired the knock sensor, checked spark, etc, i even ran a compression check... everything was fine... im completely stumped...

Mine was doing the same thing, and it was a loose wire in my conversion harness. So check for some bad wiring somewhere...

if your motor is a JDM motor, which I'm sure it is.. this problem is caused by the fact that the motor is designed to run off 100 octane fuel ( because they have that in Japan ). what grade fuel do you use? even with 93 you'll get this surging every now and then. the solution is to install a fuel press. reg and just raise the fuel pressure about 2-3 pounds and it should run better. this is one theory, the problem could allways be something else but this is one of the common ones.

This will sound stupid but give it a try if nothing else works. Switch the o2 sensors if it is a b16a1 motor with two sensors. I've done this several times on a1 motors that are stuttering and it fixed it every time.
