Ls/Vtec question
so leave the ls crank the same...i know i want to get a set of arp's but is there anything else i should do to the bootom end? for now im just using ls pistons and rods cause i want to get it running then i'll have fun with it but i dont want to buy new pistons and rods just to have it not work ya know so anything else i need to do i would be happy to hear it thanks....wtb..obd1 b16 distributor...p28 ecu
I kept it to 8.2krpm, I had no reason to take it higher. I'm confident up to 9k rpms in that motor, although with the cams I'm planning on running it would be pointless to take it past 8.7k.

get the gsr girdle but keep the ls main caps then get number three milled down and then my bottom end will be ok to run safely cause i just want to get it running right first then do the improvements ya know ok..so how much would that cost me like 50 for the gsr and 100 bucks to get it milled?
don't run the ls pistons, the valve reliefs are barely enough to clear stock b16a cams. Any bigger cams or if you play with some cam gears you will probably end up bending or breaking the valves. Also arp rod bolts are an absolute must if you plan on using the stock rods.
