over bore?
does a .25 over bore make a big difference? how much of a difference would a ls motor with oversized type r pistons make. about how much hp would that add?

It just assures that the cylinder wall is true round. Also when overboring the builder can tell the machine shop the piston to wall clearance he or she desires. I try to always use overbore pistons in the motors I build. The machine work costs a little more but I feel it is worth every penny. Talk to anyone of the guys on this board who have had motors built with too much piston to wall clearance by honing and running standard bore. It is definitely a good thing to do.
