I have been having the problem with Code 21 (defective or disconnected vtec solenoid) with my Eg. Anyhow, pulled the ECU out today and the vtec solenoid wire was not in all the way the connector Plugged it in nice and snug and the CEL went away Drove the car to meet a buddy for lunch. Parked the car for a couple minutes while I waited for him to come out. Went to leave in the Hybrid and the CEL came back on. I instantly pulled over to check the code and it was 21 again. Continued to drive to lunch. After getting done eating lunch I checked the wires at the ECU and they looked connected still and even checked the wiring at the shock tower. Start the car up to head back home and the CEL is off. I then check the vtec and it's working (there's no sound like it) CEL is off but when I do the diagnostic I'm throwing Code 21. I am thinking (hoping/praying) that the ECU is just showing the last code the ECU threw since the CEL is NOT on while driving. Am I right or is there a serious problem as to why I'm throwing code 21 with no CEL?
