does anyone know how to set up your engine to throw a nice backfire, kinda like the scca cars not like the fast and furious fire launcher, but a nice flame on the down shift.

any info post it here,

fuel pump ?
timing?

My old crx dx engine would make a hella loud back fire with a softball size ball of fire when I would bounce of the rev limiter once, sometimes it would do it twice in a row. dont know what cause it though, all i can say is that when it was cold out it would do it alot more offten. If you want balls of fire turbo your car and get a 2step.

 

that isnt dangerous, having fire kits next to the gas tanks? well a few feet from them, lets say your rollin along and scrape your tank on a railroad crossing, you decide to clown and hit the fire, wouldnt be nice

 

I have 5 zigen fireball cat back with a 3 inch strait pipe(don't ask) and I shoot foot long blue flames out the back when reving and downshifting at high rpm

 

no im not talking about the GAY ASS flame thrower 57 chevy style, im talking about the "super touring" or "rally " type shiznit, i guess it would come from some major fuel pressure and a nice ignition setup, i already run a 2 step and msd. i have b16a3 in a civic hatch, and just wanted to know how to make it happen, mine would always do it when i would spray and had my timing knob turned up for N/A.
