vtec being a bitch
i have a 92 dx with a h22a swap.when my car is cold vtec will not work.when the car is at its runing temp. vtec will work. then if i drive around for a little bit vtec will stop working. what the hell is the problem. i am runing a p-28. please help it is starting to piss me off.

When car is cold vtec will NOT work. That's how it's designed.
Check your oil. Be sure it's not low. That will also cause VTEC to not engage.
-- Also, the spool could be dirty, remove the VTEC solonoid from the head and check the spool (metal screen) for dirt, replace it. It's about 12 bucks from Honda.

vtec isnt designed to work when anengine is cold, i think its like 160 degrees or something like that, some work sooner than others, do you hav e a chipped ecu?
