???
umm stock set up will be decent. nothing to brag about. upgrade all the major parts, (pistons, cams, valvetrain, .......) should move pretty good. but i havent heard anything good about a b20 block. in my opinion i'd go with a ls block

b20's have greater displacment, but their sleeves are shit, start rev'ing that block to 8200 and your going to shiet on them. It's more pain then it's worth unless your going to sleeve it... but if your gonna do that... why not just sleeve an LS block to 84mm (2.0) and be done with it?
wait a minute do i see myslef and cronic agreeing on something? im building ls vtec right now. b20's are shit to me. never built one but im going on what ive heard. you really dont even have to make the ls block a 2.0 you can leave it the way it is. if you use the right internals and the right mechanic, you should be fine

The reason for wanting a 2.0L is for torque and displacment. More displacment has more opportunity for more power. There is no replacement for displacment, no matter what anyone says.
b20 blocks are nice on paper, but in reality they're shit. Ive had friends rip the block off by the motor mount from just launching at the strip.
The ultimate motor for our cars (civic/integ) is still the JDM H22a. Ive heard of a guy with a B18 stroked to a 2.1 running some impressive numbers. Ive yet to meet this guy tho, so that's just heresay. I believe he was hitting mid 11's in a CRX daily driven.
I thought about stroking my motor to a 2.0L SOHC, but it's extreemly expensive, and not good for boost, as we all know, I can't live w/o boost.
