"bog.. or stutter"
It has gotten progressivly worse in the past few days. I drive a stock 97 civic HX and whenever i get on the gas the motor stutters or bogs. in first i cant even take it past 6000rpm, its almost like another revlimiter. then in 3rd i'll be at about 80mph and the rpm will start bouncing up and down
i've checked my spark plugs, and the wires are not too great. checked the distributer, and changed the fuel filter.
what shops around the citrus park area should i go to without getting ripped off. or is their any other suggestions
TIA

LOL, its funny, i have a 1991 honda civic dx, and i have the same exact prob, mine jerks and bogs, i have changed the plugs, plug wires, checked the alt (at discount auto), and cleaned the throttle body today, and replaced the fuel filter, well, i have done everything that i know how to do to it and it still does it, the only other things i could think of would be the fuel pump( which is in my gas tank, not sure about yours) or the timing, and i have no clue on how to adjust that, i just ordered my engine today, im putting in a b16a , might as well, im not shelling out the money on a worthless d-series that doesnt have much potential, well if you get it checked let me know what it is, i have done just about everything to it besides drive it off a cliff.
my girlfriends fuel pump went bad and it jerked so bad,it felt like you would put the pedal to the floor for a second and let off but repeatedly...thats most likely your problem

Ive never heard of a fuel pump causing that, normally when they go, your car is dead.
Sounds like an ignition problem for the both of you. replace the distributor cap and rotor, also recheck your spark plugs, be sure they're gaped properly, try another set of plug wires. This sounds like an ignition problem more then a fuel problem. Check what colour your plugs are, if they're white/carbonized/glazed over etc...
