what would be the average price to swap a b16a into a 1990 integra gs. also would it be better to do this than do a rebuild on my current engine. tha current has 225,000 miles on it right now. also what kind of down time am i looking at. thanks for any help given. chris

 

I asked xat racing the same question and they told me around $3200 for the motor and install and they said it would take a couple of days to get the motor and about a week to drop it in.

 

first gen b16 could be found for $1500. labor 500-700. down time one to two weeks. ask around petty on this board that can do it

 

I'd pick up a b16a head and rebuild your bottom end for lsvtec. If you've got the cash then get the tranny too.

If you wanted to do a b16a swap our shop could probably get that done for about $2000. Swap would take one or two days from the time when we recieve all the parts.

 

Osakajdmmotors.com has great prices get it shipped and people like Keith on the board can swap it for a good deal im sure!!

 

I've heard some horror stories about Osaka. Hmotorsonline.com gets a thumbs up from us.

Another thing. There will be alot of leftover parts like axles, mounts and your old motor that could be sold to offset the cost.
