i know, im not trying to be a smart ass. im just telling you that if you were to tell the dealer you needed one for a b16a or for what ever type of car the b16a came out of, they would give you the right one. plain and simple. unless the parts guy is a dumbass like lorraine.

lorraine, come shut me up punk

so, its not the thermo. your coolant system is a pretty basic system that is easy to work on. there are only a few things that could be wrong. first i would highly suggest that you get a helms manual or service manual. this will save you time and money and well worth the price. like cronic said try taking out the thermo. are there any leaks? if your water pump isnt working the seal may be burned up. this could happen from running the car without any coolant or not enough coolant. make sure you have a good ground. if none of this works, pm me, and i will come work on your car for free!!!!

hang on here buddy... how did i become an dumbass. everything you and cronic just said was exactly the words that come out of my mouth.. you kept bringingup this dumb shit about the the search button and the thermo.. when it was obviously not the thermo sicne he already changed it and all he wanted was a little help... not smart ass comments from you.
if the coolant system is such a basic system and theres only a few things that could be wrong, then why would you so "highly" suggest getting a helms manual
i really dont think he cares about any of your comments any more and you want me to come make you shut up? let me jump right on that and argue with you over the internet.. welcome to the 6th grade buddy.. grow up dude... you just got owned and you know it

how do you figure i got owned????? the only reason i said anything about you is you said in your other post "leave him alone and shut the hell up". i dont want to argue over the internet any more than you. but i cant help it if the kid we're talkin to is a dumbass and so are you.

grow up? listen lorraine, im 26 and a Marine. i am more grown up than your sorry ass will ever be and will kick your ass like its never been kicked(unless your a girl, which i take you are by your name). shut the fuck up and let me help this kid out. if dont have any "real experience" in this matter, then dont comment, bitch.

the reason i suggest a helms manual. is because it saved me about 2 grand in labor cost for doing shit myself.

crxvtec, like i said before, i am more than willing to come show you how to work on your car.

first of all.. i do have "real experience" since something simular happened to me a lil while ago...
second, im sorry that you need a step by step manual inorder to understand the coolant system of a honda...
third, i asure you i have more experience than you could ever wish to have on hondas...
and fourth, im a 24 year old graduate thats in training to become a navy seal.. so bring it any time buddy, it would make my day

o and by the way.. i wasnt saying getting a helms manual was a bad idea.. i was simply saying that you statement of "your coolant system is a pretty basic system that is easy to work on. there are only a few things that could be wrong. first i would highly suggest that you get a helms manual or service manual." was about the dumbest thing ive heard.. you contradicted yourself smartass.. once again, like i said you got owned

if you were currently training to be a navy seal, you wouldnt be on TR, they dont give you computer breaks. you might have plans to start training, but you are not currently training. have you even gone throught the regular navy boot camp yet? probably not. also, you should know this if you're going into the navy, the Marine Corps is a department of the Navy. (the mens department). i have trained with navy seals before and dont let your ignorant ass get all hyped up about navy seals. as you will find once you actually join that they are not the world most elite force. i will just put it to you like this, i have seen many fat and nasty navy seals. but never, ever, seen a fat nasty Recon Marine. but since we(navy seals and Marine recon) work so closely together are training is almost the same. the nasty navy however has very little regulations compared to the Marines. to give you and example. back in 97 at camp lejuene, i was on the range with navy seals. those guys were just letting bullets fly in the general direction of the target, the Marines are taugh "one shot, one kill" . dont waste your time in the seals. come to the Marines. also just so you dont start crying again, i do respect the seals, or any military person who is willing to give up there life do defend this country. so if you are planning to do this, i have plenty of respect for you. just do more research before you make your final desision.

lorraine, are you male or female??

if you are a male, come over to my house so we can start your training right away! i have a boxing ring in my back yard, i'll teach you the basics of hand-to-hand combat. then after i kick your ass, im going to take you into the front yard and teach you how to work on a honda.

crxvtec, i never meant to really be a smart ass to you. i only come to this forum if someone needs help. i just thought it was ironic how you asked your question with the answer in it. then when i told you the answer, it wasnt good enough. im really not a bad guy. all the mods on TR know me so ask them. and (not being a smart ass), i will help you on your car for free, just to prove to you that im a nice guy. thankyou ladies and have a nice day.

First Get a Helms or similar manual...I don't care how many years you worked on a Honda...Fucking Chris Rado and Steph Papadakis always had a Helms Manual in their Trailer when they were running 8's and were at the top of their class...

Now, did you use the right Head Gasket? Your car will overheat if the water/coolant isn't flowing into and out of the engine...

Your radiator is not leaking, the hoses are not clogged, the thermostat is brand new and is installed correctly, the fan is turning on when it supposed to, the radiator cap is opening when it overheats and is allowing the overflow bottle to do its work, the hoses are not leaking, the heater core is not leaking, the water pump is not seized up, All the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensors are functioning correctly, Water/Coolant is at the proper level...All these are things you should check off as you inspect your cooling system...

Is your temperature gauge just pegging to the right? Check to see that its not a bad sender...If I remember correctly, if its bad, it will peg to the right and if its not connected, it will peg to the left...
