standard or oversized ITR Pistons?

standard or oversized ITR Pistons?
is there really a big difference with getting bigger pistons? they are going into a ls block and i know i have to modify the pistons and ls rods to fit. is there any power added by adding oversized pistons?

Slight raise in hp and compression, minimal.
What you WANT to do is get oversized pistons so you can assure yourself that you will recieve a proper seal with your rings. You have the machine shop bore to piston size (.25 over or whatever you choose). This way you can be assured everything will work perfectly, and you wont end up with leaky rings, or smokey exhaust.
On a side note, I realize there isn't anything wrong with an LS rod/ITR piston combo. I just would think if your planning to beat this motor, eagle rods and a fitted Endyne Wiseco piston combo would be a better investment. Granted that's 800 bucks, but it's a WELL spent 800 dollars.

well i originally didnt want to overbore my block. but colin thought i did so he had it done. so now i got to take my pistons and rings back to acura and have the swap them out for oversized (.25) itr pistons. they dont want to becasuse i cant find my reciept. so i guess im gonna be about another 300 in the hole. but i heard before that overbore isnt a good idea thats why i made a post. thanx!!

ITR pistons on stock ls rods works fine. Like Cronic said overbore is good, I generally won't build a motor unless overbore pistons are used.
