Default Idle problem plzzz help...

ok.... i havent been paying much attention to it but sometimes when i am driving and just sitting at a light it idles fine but other times when the car is just stopped it will idle like really low like 200rpms or even 150rpms warm or cold but usually when the car is really warm like when i have been driving long distances but if i pump on the brake it will shoot right up.... its not like the car stalls or anything stays on perfect just kinda scares me to see it idle so low... and then i have this fear that one day that bitch will just cut off on me oh and i have a 96 integra LS.... so in short should i worry about this should i have someone take a look at it? plzzz help i dont want this to get worse thanks for any help

Mine will do that once in a great while......it'll be idling fine at like 650-700 rpms....then all of a sudden the revs dip way down and makes the car shudder for a sec.....then they go back up, and all is well.

Vacuum Leaks galore...Check your connections by spraying Gum Out Carb Cleaner on them...Look for change in idle and check that all connections are tight...Good way to check is to replace stock hose with new silicone hose or just newer stock hose...use clamps...Use care...Use a manual...These are machines that require effort to get working 100%...People can turn wrenches all they want, but you have to understand what youre' doing and what cause and effect can happen when something is adjusted wrong or right...It comes with experience and hands-on work...Idle problems can be too many things but your description leads me to beileve its a vacuum leak close to the intake manifold/tb/brake booster

Also check your IAC on the back of your intake manifold

I still never figured mine out, no looping just a 1100 RPM idle after my TB was removed for cleaning.

Sunrise City Rider: What do I need to do a vaccum check? Are the vaccum hoses the ones that just usally go around the intake? Do you spray the carb cleaner on with the car on or off? just making sure.
