I have a friend he owns a 98 mustang gt 5spd no mods except k&n filter. he is the biggest ignoramous on earth he called me out and said that no import without the assistance of a turbo could beat him. and of course i made a wager on that. i have a 98 hatch i also have a B18b swap that will be instaled at the end of april. i have a 2 part question is it possible to beat him with just the swap and i/h/e. if not what mods would you recomend i do before i have it swaped in.

a side note he is the worst driver i have ever seen he ran a 16.6 i ran a 15.6 in the same car it had a F'd up clutch at the time

just toss on a 75 shot, and you'll shit all over him. no fuel upgrades needed. I like zex and NX. they make good kits.

i raced alot of stangs in my b16a hatch and i have won most of them. New and old, now most where not modded out to all hell. now i raced my friends pretty much stock 90 coupe 5 speed (I,H,E) and he was side to side with me. Its all in the driver, why bench race and just race the kid. If you lose so be it!

 

i personally think you could beat him with just the swap i/h/e and some drag radials. especially if hes running 15's or 16's.

as well, send him my way when you are done. im all motor, and will kick his ass!!!!!! and keep in mind this is with only 130hp ZC swap, running mid 14's.

also you should challenge him to an autocross race. more than likely you would tear him a new asshole!!!!

well i had a friend who was had a stock ls in his hatch. hes beaten the new 4.6 mustangs. now he has a fully built head and it pulls a helluva lot more harder than it ever did.

he ran a 15.3 when it was stock on his old hatch that had extensive front end damage. never ran it in the new one with or without the mods.

 

The 98 Mustangs are extremely slow (no offense to mustang owners on the board) but respond pretty well to mods. Dont be cocky though, hondas are slow. The LS engine in a 98 hatch isnt goign to do it for you. That engine does not know how to breathe. No offense to hondas, but the only ones I respect are ITR's and CRX's...the rest need turbo to even be half-ass fast.

 

No respect for the CTR's, GS-R's or Si's. I'm going to go home and cry. Oh Jesus.
