what does it mean when you touch the distributer it shocks you (one hell of a shock might i add) ?? and what ever it is can it result in the car running like shit ?

mine shocks me to, I got it just from grabing the external of the distributer. good ol' factory honda ignitions!

damm thats some scary shit ..... just imagine working on a fuel line etc and gas vapors are all around and your elbow touches the distributer.........

the plug wires might be arcking,which means
one of the wires are no good, or its not bolted to the cap right,
or the cap is not sealed or it might be cracked

if your working on fuel the engine is'nt running, therefor your dist. does'nt make any spark so nothing to worry about.

thats not supposed to happen. you either have a bad ground somewhere, a wire is grounded out when/where its not supposed to be, or something is just plain wired wrong
