I Have A Problem

I HAVE A 95 EX COUPE THAT I PUT A 94 LS, MY PROBLEM IS FOR SOME REASON THE #1 PLUG IS BURNING REALLY BLACK WHEN I TAKE IT OUT AND LOOK AT IT ITS REAL DARK LIKE ITS RUNNING RICH IN ONE CYLINDER BUT ALL THE REST ARE FINE. ALSO SMOKE IS COMING OUT THE EXUAST. CAN ANYONE HELP ME. ALSO I GOT A TICKET FOR MY EXAUST BEING TO LOUD DOES ANYONE KNOW A EXAUST THAT I CAN GET THATS NOT LOUD.

First off, kill the caps lock. Second. What colour is the smoke? Third, My guess is that your #1 cyl is burning oil... prolly rings are bad. Your plug may be fouling out, are you sure it's not oil on the plug?

I check the compression on the rings they were good, but i do think its buring oil, someone told me if its burning in that one cylinder like that its the head gasket

Here's a good way to tell...
If you put a cap full of oil into tha cyl. then do a compression test again, does the compression raise by more then 50psi? If so, the rings are bad.
If you have a blown headgasket, I don't see how that would make a cyl. burn oil. It will smoke, but from coolant, not oil. Is your car overheating? Does your resevour boil over? If so, that could be a headgasket.

Try the oil compression test after you do a dry test and see what numbers come up.
My guess is your oil rings are shot.

And these are JE rings so I hope not, and the smoke is like black & blue and it smells really strong like its burning rich

JE rings aren't much more expensive then OEM. 90 bucks for the set from AE, prolly take a week to get.
OEM are about 20 bucks per hole.

it could be your valve seals over just that one cylinder droping oil in but this is a long shot.

does the car smoke when you start it up and then it goes away or does it smoke constant?

as for the exhaust...call 813-910-2731...he is the guy who used to do the exhaust work at north tampa custom...he is behind there now with his own lift....he has this thing that is like a resonator but it has a bunch of chambers in it that makes the exhaust really deep toned...sounds really good....call him up.
