SI to D16z6 SWAP Wiring harness?????
SUp,
Im Swapping out my girls SI motor in her CRX to a d16z6 motor out of a 95 civic ex.
I got every thing out and ready to go but im stuck the wiring harness definatly dont match up and if i want to get the use out of the Vtec i have to use the ECU that came with the motor.
So my question is does any one know where i can get a conversion kit.
Or have any info on how to hook it up right???
Thank 4 the HelP.

Thanks for the info.
I was thinking about just using the head but the SI motor has had it and i got the whole z6 motor so i figured id go that way.

You will need the jumper harness for the ecu and you will need to wire in an obd1 distributor, vtec oil switch, vtec solenoid, and a 4 wire o2 sensor. I can get the jumper harness for you if want one.

you will also have to extend the wire for your radiator fan switch
on the crx it was located above the oil pressure on the back of the block
on the z6 block, it will be located on the water outlet thermostat housing
I second with KJ
You can keep your obd0 injectors as long as you do not removed the resistor box off the injector circut
good luck jay
