I think it all comes down to the race gas. I've seen more power come from race then people realize......and tunning.

i am in orlando and owned the crx with a stock dseries pushing 302hp 251tq... the motor held up fine and yes i was runing race gas. it lasted for over 2 months and would lasted longer if i would of taken care of it (adding more fuel when i went over 20psi) the reason i think it gave up on me is because it overheated teh week before while driving and think it warped the ehad causing it to drip water into cyl #3 wich ended up causing it to seaze, there was no rod bearing damage so it was not a spun bearing nor a melted piston.... i tunred it to over 20 becuause i accomplished 300hp and 11sec pass with it and decided to see if it coud do a 20+ psi pass and it did till i passed the traps..hehe.. i will be putting another one together hopefully for moroso and it should be around the same power as before and possibly bigger injectors to control fuel a little differently, and maybe i might sit on teh dyno and actually tune the car....

Yo, Legato. I put 4-1 headers, CAI, NKG plugs, APC 9.3mm spark wires, and various other OEM upkeep replacement parts (start, alt, radiator, big battery, gaskets, distributor, rotor) on my D16 (93 EX Coupe) but I'm not satisfied. I read all the suggestions I can but its all greek.

I want more power and the only way I can imagine getting it is to burden others with relentless questions. What's the best way to learn this stuff?

Also, I am a poor fucker. Anything I do would be from a junkyard.

The way to get more power is to educate yourself. Badgering people is not the correct way to go about obtaining that knowledge. Bumping old ass posts and asking a question to a user that hasn't been to the site in well over a year just makes you look like an asshat.

Now, picking peoples brains on occasion can be healthy, but you have to first know the difference between the truth and bullshit.

The correct way to obtain the knowledge you seek is to read up FAQ's, get a service manual for the motor/car in question. But, before even that, I would urge you to ground yourself in the operational theory of combustion motors.

Beyond that, I strongly recommend removing any part from APC, and compleyely cutting yourself off from purchasing their crap and furthering your car as a bad image to others.

Good luck in your future endeavors.
