ive never had a problem with my JE rings seating. i either took my block to a machine shop or used a ball honer with a lot of oil myself. i really wouldnt be worried about it. just make sure your cylinder walls arent warped, the piston to wall clearance is good and the rings are gapped properly and youll be fine.

also if u use JE pistons, use some fine sandpaper and sand the corners of the intake valve cuts. it will reduce hotspots on the pistons and will lessen the likelyhood of detonation from that.

Just accomplish sure your cylinder walls are not warped, the piston to wall clearance is good and the rings are gapped appropriately and you will be fine.
