for context im trying to manual swap my 2000 teg.
my integra was one of the lucky ones to come with an immobilizer.

my goal is to get around the immobilizer in my swap and my idea is if i get an ECU from an integra that didnt have the immobilizer, put it in my vehicle, will my current ignition switch and key be able to start my car?

if simply changing the ECU doesnt bypass the immobilizer, what is my work around to achieve this?

am i going to have to take the whole ignition harness over from an older teg just to be able to bypass?

in the end though:
im fine with the immobilizer light being on i couldnt care.
im also fine with losing some security on my teg because immobilzer wouldnt exist.
the goal is to do a manual swap with a proper manual ECU.

and i pretty much understand everything else about the swap just the immobilizer part. since they only came on 00-01 models, its hard for me to find information on a work-around on this chassis.

Edit: The immobilizer light also wasn't on.

Car will still run and drive however at the end of the day.

Your best bet however as mentioned is to go to OBD1.
