Collin not only took over a month to get my car done. The rings never seated properly... now weather this is really his fault or not... I broke in the car EXACTLY to his specs.
Collin is a good guy, but he's not much of a people person, and he is slow IMHO. Granted his prices are VERY reasonable. As a matter of fact he's about the least expensive of the "top 10" builders around here.... But as I was told by a higher ranking builder.... you get what you pay for.
Well I got it all right. Detonation, blowby.... no power.

That would be the compression test done by a place down from my work. They race RX7's with SCCA or some shit... not that it matters. They're ASE master tech's.
Collin however. Told me my motor was fine. Sounds funny if you ask me.
This is all besides the point. EVERY mechanic has had bad expierence with a customer at one time or another, weather it was their fault or not.
Allow me to be very clear. I don't think Collin is a bad mechanic, I am saying that when I took it to him, I expected things to go smoothly and not have anymore problems. Unfortunatly there were delays after delays and things just didn't ever work out how I was told. I was given the car back 2 weeks after schedule. I just had a bad expierence with him, as a result I wont be doing business with him anymore if I can aviod it. Considering I spend several thousand dollars on my car for various things, turbo, engine management and so on... Im always playing with new shit. *shrug* long winded post.
I wont be replying again.
